Coach's Corner:  The 3-Breath Reset

 

Try this exercise on the days when your fuse is a little short, the empathy bucket is running dry, or simply betwen patient encounters for a quick reset.  It won't add any time to your day and is an easy and breathing in an out! 

Before you walk into a room, take 3 intentional breaths

  1. Breath 1: Notice your current emotional statement
  2. Breath 2: Release any tension or previous patient interactions
  3. Breath 3: Set an intention for how you want your patient to feel
