The review.Β You send everything you have, plus an intake designed to give me the full picture. I read all of it the same way I read applications when I served on the admissions committee β before we ever speak.
The conversation. Β Sixty minutes, live and recorded. A conversation and a coaching session, not a status update. Because the reading is already done, none of the hour goes to catching me up.
The plan.Β Within five business days: my answer and the reasoning behind it, how your application reads to someone on an admissions committee, the three things that would move it most, and a timeline against the real application calendar.
How the timing works. After you check out I'll send the intake form and my calendar. Send your materials first, then book the session for one to two weeks later. That gap is the review β it's what you're actually paying for.
I interview candidates at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. I take conflicts of interest seriously, so I ask three questions first.
- Are you a current University of Iowa student, or do you have a uiowa.edu email address?
- Is the Carver College of Medicine one of your top three schools?
- Is there any other connection between us I should know about β someone we both know, a program we've both been part of?
